I Made A Website For My Original Artwork!

This weekend, I officially launched a site for my art business, K-Tee's CreeativeWorks! πŸŽ‰

I had taken a year-long break from all things KTCW to re-strategize my online presence. Instead of fixating too much on the Instagram account I made for it, I'm going to shift most of my focus over to my website. I want to think more about what other things I can add to it to keep my visitors coming back. Like discussing my business journey, making product reviews, posting detailed explanations on my designs, and a more recent goal, passing on helpful news, advice and resources for other artists. I want to use KTCW not only to promote myself, but to encourage people to be creative in a world where art-scraping robots are being trained to take over that process.

I know making engaging videos would help me out a lot, but since it's been really hard to gather the motivation to make them, I can use my site to essentially trick myself into creating a basis for future scripts. I don't have to keep ideas reserved until I develop the best way to convert them to MP4s. If having them in a text format is more convenient for me, I should just go ahead and do that for now.

The other part of re-strategizing is thinking more about where else and how else I can share my content. The most important things I want to express will first be on my site and will eventually have posts on the other KTCW pages, linking back to it. I’ve been using Threads since earlier this year, and I’ve been thinking harder about joining Cara soon. Whenever I get to giving background information about the designs I make, I’m going to direct readers to that entry in the descriptions for those items. I’ve already been looking out for alternative social media platforms and will continue to see which ones could be a good fit for my original artwork.

I became discouraged the first time because I didn't get results as soon as I had hoped. (And because of how Instagram updated...πŸ˜’) I know that making these changes won’t guarantee instant success, but now that I’m being more attentive to other aspects of my business, as opposed to just two or three, I have a better chance of getting there.

Getting my website done has been a goal of mine for a while. (You have no idea.) I said this year and last year I wanted to get serious about accomplishing this. Is everything about it currently to my liking? Not...really. But I gotta start somewhere and I really gotta get going. I’m getting back into taking commissions and want my customers to contact me through the site. The platform I’m using now, Fourthwall, doesn't have a proper system in place for taking custom orders, so I had to put together a work-around. I’ll talk more about this whole situation in an upcoming post over there and maybe link to it in this one when it's up.

But yeah! I’m feelin' pretty positive about this return! πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘πŸΎ

Let's see how it goes!
